Picture slow breakfasts on the terrace, the garden still cool in the morning light, and nothing on the agenda but a swim in your own pool. Villa La Masque is a small, charming holiday house for up to 4 guests, set between the hilltop village of Saignon and the market town of Apt, in the heart of the Luberon.
THE HOUSE
Villa La Masque is designed for couples, friends and small families who want the comfort of a real home in Provence. The main bedroom has a 160 cm double bed and opens close to the swimming pool. The second bedroom has two single beds and its own access to a private terrace. One bathroom serves the house, and a baby bed is available on request. The living room and fully equipped kitchen make it easy to cook with produce from the local markets. Air conditioning keeps the house comfortable on the warmest summer days.
THE GARDEN AND POOL
The garden is fully fenced and private, with a terrace, a pool house and the swimming pool at its heart. The pool is heated in April, May, June, September and October, so spring and autumn stays are just as inviting as midsummer. A gated private parking space completes the feeling of a quiet hideaway.
SAIGNON AND THE LUBERON ON YOUR DOORSTEP
Saignon is one of the Luberon's most authentic villages, perched on its rock above the valley, with a lovely restaurant, Au Comptoir de Balthazar, and a small local market. Apt is about 10 minutes away by car, with its famous Saturday morning market, one of the largest in Provence. From the villa, the classic Luberon villages are an easy drive: Bonnieux and Roussillon in about 25 minutes, Lourmarin in about 30, Gordes in about 35.

Maison Joucas – a renovated holiday home and village house near Gordes and Roussillon, Luberon
Wake up to the view of the Joucas windmill, walk two minutes for fresh bread and a coffee on the village square, and spend your days exploring the most beautiful villages of the Luberon. Maison Joucas is a cosy, recently renovated village house for 2 guests, with room for children, in the peaceful hilltop village of Joucas, between Gordes and Roussillon.
THE HOUSE
Maison Joucas has the charm of an old stone village house and the comfort of a recent renovation. On the first floor, reached by a wooden spiral staircase, the main bedroom has its own bathroom. The living room, with its wood stove for cooler evenings, also has two single beds for children, and a TV with Netflix and a DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a new oven and electric hob. The house has two WCs, a laundry area and air conditioning.
TERRACE AND BALCONY
A private terrace and a balcony with a view let you enjoy the light of Provence from morning to evening, with the windmill of Joucas in the background. From the terrace door, a path leads up to the Château de Joucas and the windmill: a short, lovely walk at sunset.
LIFE IN JOUCAS
Joucas is a quiet, authentic village where everything is within walking distance. The grocery store and the café-restaurants La Terrasse and Agachoun are 2 to 3 minutes on foot. A tennis court is about 200 m from the house (please let us know in advance if you would like to play), and a children's playground is close by.
THE LUBERON ON YOUR DOORSTEP
Joucas is perfectly placed to discover the Luberon. Gordes and the ochre village of Roussillon are about 10 minutes away by car, Goult about 10 to 15 minutes, and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, famous for its antique dealers and Sunday market, about 25 minutes. Plan your days around the markets: Gordes on Tuesday, Roussillon on Thursday, Apt on Saturday morning.
